Rally

We attended our very first political rally this past Sunday.   It was in Woodbridge, Virginia — about 40 minutes from our home.  It was an interesting event.  We arrived about 30 minutes before the posted start time — only to find the line to get in the stadium was truly about a mile long.  I thought we’d never get in — but about an hour later we did get through security.  It was longer than most Disney lines … LOL.   Once inside it didn’t seem like that many people were there compared to the many that were standing in line.

John McCain showed up at about 3:30 — the start time was 2 p.m. with other speakers before him.  However, had I known it was an all day affair I probably would not have gone.

At any rate, the kids got to see what a rally is all about — and we got to support our candidate.  We also got  street signs and bumper stickers to distribute to others …. but we still have a ton in the backseat of the car.

Here’s some pictures from the event:

Sounds like a great homeschooling lesson. I hope you had good weather while you waited in line.
