I don’t think I have ever shared my top 15 Disney movies. Honestly, it’s hard to choose just 15 — but here we go in order of most favorites. This was all decided by family discussion that took quite a while to reach an agreement.
- Cinderella
- Beauty and the Beast
- Snow White
- Sleeping Beauty
- Little Mermaid (there was a lot of contention to have this higher on the list … but the boys drove it down)
- Peter Pan
- 101 Dalmations
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Toy Story 1
- Toy Story 2
- Enchanted
- The Lion King
- Lady and the Tramp
- National Treasure
- Princess Diaries
How about you? Are any of your Top 5 Disney movies on our list? How about favorite Disney characters? Funny, I would definitely say Mickey Mouse but he’s not in any of the movies we listed.

I’m so glad it’s Friday. Yesterday, I went out to my car to go to the store to order a cake for my youngest child’s birthday this weekend — and found the car wouldn’t start. Battery.
Last week the same thing happened. However, after a jump start all was okay. Having this happen again makes me believe there’s something more to it than just a battery needing charging. I was afraid to get a jump start to get to the store — thought I would get stranded at the store if it wouldn’t start once I was finished shopping. So I called the store to order the cake and figured I would pick it up today.
However, I had to wait around all day for the Sears repairman to fix the oven door — that has been broken for two weeks. They were suppose to come yesterday afternoon … but didn’t. Finally, arrived today at 3 p.m. — and it still doesn’t feel right.
I’m hoping my son will pick up the cake at the store after he gets off work today since I’m still without a car. If not, he might be finding a new place to live …. lol
We’re all suppose to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate the birthdays of my oldest and youngest children — both have birthdays within a week of one another. But hubby just sent an email that he will not be getting out of the office until 6 p.m. and the reservations are at 6:30 — and it takes at least an hour for him to get home … and I can’t meet him at the restaurant because I don’t have a car.
Okay … I’m done … Thank God It’s Friday — and I need a car!!!!!!

I’m often doing things around the house when a great idea comes to me that I would like to write about here on my blog.
I’ll be doing the laundry and have a whole blog post running through my mind — only to forget half of those great words when I go to write the post later on in the day. Sewing is also a creative outlet for me and great ideas come to me as I’m sewing. Unfortunately, I don’t have my laptop with me during these creative moments. I do employ the use of a pad of paper in my pocket to jot down great ideas. But, still … I look at those notes later on and say, “what was I thinking when I wrote this?”
I’ve often thought it would be great to have a tape recorder attached to me so I could get all these good ideas recorded for later transcribing. Well…. someone has actually gone a step further than that! And that’s Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard or Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred.
With this program there’s no need to even type — it does it for you at a speed up to 150 words per minute. I’m a great typist but still can only type about 90 words per minute and that’s when I’m not trying to think of what to say at the same time. Imagine your blog post being typed at the same time as you are thinking of its content. All those great ideas captured as you are thinking of them. It’s like a digital camera in your brain getting word images straight to your blogging platform!
Seriously, this program has me sold. I can see some major benefits to having this program. For instance, all that time I spend doing mundane tasks like the dishes, laundry and even walking on the treadmill or cycling on the stationery bike can be put to great use. And, I believe my writing will be more creative and more deeply thought out — making it easier to share with everyone. As a busy, working mom, I’m a master at multitasking — this program will make that job even easier!
