The 2009 Disney Dining Plan has been announced — and there are no significant changes in the regular meal plan or the deluxe plan — other than the price has gone up a few dollars per person per day. I was hoping Disney would revert back to the previous years’ plan with the tip included in the price of the plan — but unfortunately, no, that isn’t going to happen. Too bad. At the new price I can definitely say it’s not worth the price any more.
Disney did add a new plan — called the “Quick Service Dining Plan.” Looking at this plan I know it is not for my family. It includes two counter service meals a day per person — and 2 snacks — and one refillable mug. There are no table service meals included. We look forward to enjoying a nice relaxing dinner inside a restuarant to cool off from the heat and relax a bit before continuing on. The price of this plan is only $10 less than the regular plan so I really don’t see any benefit to it — and it certainly doesn’t seem very budget-wise. At $29.99 per person per day for two light meals and two snacks — it isn’t a bargain.

The meal plan – even with the increase in price – may be worth the money, especially if Disney increases the price of their food. Since Disney charges so much to get into the parks per day, you would think that they wouldn’t have to increase food prices often.
Great info thanx!
