Technical things I learned last week…

Always learning something new — and that’s good!

A few months ago I didn’t know too much about blogging……

Each week I learn something(s) new.

Usually these things are tiny little things that aren’t that significant — but make blogging a little easier and more fun.

1. I learned how to add a little space around a picture in Wordpress. When inserting an image add a number (I use 7) in the space that says ‘horizontal space’ — it helps make a nice little space between the picture and the words in your post.

2. In Wordpress I learned that you can ‘edit’ a theme without disturbing your current theme. Go to Design > Theme Editor — on the right you’ll see a drop down menu that has all the themes you have installed. Just select your theme and you can work on that themes html code while NOT changing your current theme. This helps if you are planning on changing your theme (you know I do that a lot) and need to edit some of the code and you want to do that before going ‘live.’

3. I learned how to add ‘the last EntreCard droppers’ — from a wonderful blogger named Owen — you can visit his site here — and it took about 45 seconds to set up.

Hope there’s something here you can use!
