Do I need to make reservations?
Since the Disney Dining Plan has become so affordable and popular it has become nearly impossible to eat at a reasonable hour without having a reservation. We went on a spur of the moment trip last November and we had a terrible time getting reservations anytime between 5 and 8 p.m. We resorted to eating late lunches at around 4 p.m. — or very late dinners at 8:30 p.m.
However, if you are staying at a Disney resort you can make advanced dining reservations (ADRs) up to 180 days prior to your arrival. Actually, you can call 180 days in advance of your day of arrival and make up to 10 days of Advance Dining Reservations by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).
Cinderella’s Royal Table is excluded from this policy and may only be booked exactly 180 days in advance. My secret: call at 7 a.m. EST sharp on the day and keep trying until someone answers.
