My first post on my first blog

Finally …. I’ve got a blog going. Actually, I started one about a year ago but never could figure out a lot of technical things … and now it’s out in cyberland somewhere — an blog orphan. LOL

I chose this ‘blog theme’ — after much indecision for there are so many choices! — because I am also a homeschooling mom. The lady up there in the banner reminds me of me … I spend a lot of time on the computer or at our ‘dining room’ table teaching my children at home. (EDITED the next day …. the ‘lady’ in the banner is ‘gone’ I changed my mind on the first theme and went this more useable theme… which I really like).

I have five children. Three are homeschooled — the other two were homeschooled too — but they are adults now. In fact, my oldest was married a little over a year ago and has recently made me a grandma! I really have a hard time believing I’m a grandmother when I still have three grade school children at home — but it’s all a lot of fun and I bet many new grandmas go through the same feeling of disbelief.

Well, I think this is a wrap and not too bad for my stab at a blog …. I hope to return each day and maybe give a little picture of what it’s like to be a work-at-home mom running a successful online business while homeschooling children and doing all of the other things women are expected to do. LOL
